About me

I'm a writer, editor and digital content producer with more than 20 years' experience working on magazines, newspapers and websites for a wide range of audiences. I'm a trained journalist and layout sub-editor with NCTJ qualifications and a keen interest in accessibility, user experience and inclusive design.

I studied journalism at Bournemouth University, before starting my career as a sub-editor on consumer magazines. I later moved to business-to-business publishing, before heading to the Middle East to work on Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Time Out Dubai and 7Days newspaper.

Most recently, I've concentrated on digital content in my role as website editor at Sightsavers, an international charity focusing on eye health and disability rights. During the past seven years, I've enjoyed developing my knowledge of accessibility and user experience to ensure my work can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
