The brief was to showcase the organisation's printed financial report in an engaging digital format. This involved thorough user research and organisational feedback, as well as careful planning to ensure we followed strict charity Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) guidelines.

The creative functionality of Sightsavers' website is limited, so we chose to use the external Shorthand storytelling platform. As editor, I gathered and wrote content and worked with the graphic designers to storyboard a creative concept using Shorthand's functionality.

The review was named Best Business Story at the 7th annual Shorthand Awards.

This project was a fantastic chance to explore how external digital platforms can expand the scope of our website to fulfil a creative brief. We've since used Shorthand to build several more immersive stories, including the 2022 report, all of which have been very well received.
